DANB is the nationally recognized certification and credentialing agency for dental assistants. When you become DANB-Certified, you join an elite group of over 32,000 Certified Assistants nationwide. DANB's national Certificate and component exams are required or recognized as meeting regulatory requirements in 37 states, plus the District of Columbia.

For over 50 years, DANB has worked within, and has the support of, the dental community. The American Dental Association recognizes DANB as the national certification agency for dental assistants. This recognition is supported by the American Association of Dental Boards, the American Dental Education Association, the American Dental Assistants Association, the Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, and the American Academy of Dental Practice Administration.

DANB offers national certification examinations, examinations leading to certificates of competency, and state-specific dental assisting expanded functions examinations.
